TOP TEN Authors I'm Thankful For

It's TOP 10 TUESDAY time! Hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

The topic: TOP TEN AUTHORS I'M THANKFUL FOR

In no particular order, because ranking them would be IMPOSSIBLE!

E. Lockhart
for writing teen girls I love, hope to be, or want to make my BFF.

John Green
for books with boy characters I care about and The Fault in Our Stars.

Sarah Dessen
for writing books that feel like a relaxing summer vacation & made me love YA way back when I was an actual teenager.

Judy Blume
for feeding my early love of contemporary YA.

Stephanie Perkins
for writing contemporary that I love, love, love, love, love.

Maureen Johnson
for being funny, weird, and awesome.

Lauren Oliver
for writing Delirium & proving I could love dystopian (and also for being nice to meet & chatting about nail polish with me like that's why she came to Texas).

A.S. King
for writing books that make me feel everything.

R.L. Stine
for keeping me reading through my childhood.

Jane Austen
for being a fantastic observer and creator of the RomCom.

    1. Definitely! I don't even like watching scary movies now, but I loved those books.

  2. Interesting list! I'm only familiar with Lauren Oliver, so I'll have to check out some of the others you mentioned. I am reading my first John Green book now (The Fault in Our Stars) and loving it so far.

  4. Judy Blume and Jane Austen defined my teen years - and Judy got an honorable mention on my list! I liked R.L. Stine too, it probably started my love of horror.

  5. I adore Sarah Dessen's writing. She wasn't on my list but if I'd had more space, she definitely would have been. Judy Blume also holds a special place for me too.
